The public prosecutor raises serious allegations against a 30-year-old. It’s about rape and murder. The defendant has not yet testified.
In the trial for the murder and rape of a 35-year-old before the Ulm Regional Court, the accused remained silent at the beginning of the trial. The man’s defense attorney announced on Friday that the 30-year-old would not comment on the matter.
The public prosecutor accuses the man of having made the acquaintance defenseless with alcohol and raped him on the night of December 1, 2021 in his apartment in Amstetten (Alb-Donau-Kreis). Since the heavily intoxicated man subsequently had to vomit and no longer had the urge to gag, he choked on his vomit. The accused is said to have failed to call a doctor for fear that the rape would otherwise have been discovered.
The accused is said to have driven the man’s body to a remote field near Amstetten that night and left it on the edge of a forest. It was a coincidence that a farmer discovered the body on December 1 while plowing a field, a police forensic scientist told the court.
According to the indictment, the Pakistani then fled to Portugal. Since his extradition, he has been in custody on charges of murder and rape resulting in death. Six days of negotiations are planned for the process until mid-June.
