The Queen of England apparently meets the Queen of Motown: Diana Ross is to appear as the main act for the platinum anniversary.
The major event to mark the platinum anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II (96) is getting closer – the four-day celebrations will start on June 2nd. A concert on the palace grounds is planned for June 4, the headliner of which is now set according to the British “The Times”. A more suitable choice could not have been found, because US star Diana Ross is to appear as the main act – i.e. the Queen of Motown for the Queen of England!
Accordingly, Ross and the artists in front of her will perform on a circular stage that will be set up at the Victoria Monument directly in front of Buckingham Palace. The band Queen as well as Duran Duran and star tenor Andrea Bocelli (63) should also perform in honor of Queen Elizabeth II.
Linked to your European tour?
If true, it would be Ross’ first concert in the UK in 15 years. The last time she went there was her “I Love You” tour from 2007. Your participation in the event is only realistic because Ross will be there shortly afterwards anyway: Your new and large-scale European and UK tour will start on June 10th with the first show in Cardiff, Wales.
