As Nechayev told RIA Novosti, politicians, scientists and public men in Germany is widely discussed call for the Russian leader to remove the secrecy from the archives and publish previously unknown documents about the war and the prewar period.
In the article, Putin noted that Russia is fully prepared to engage in this process with the involvement of historians and researchers.
“This is a very important and timely article that makes us look deeply at our history together, and to do everything to make this story impossible to falsify,” said Nechaev.
According to the Ambassador, in the article, Putin stresses the responsibility of living of future generations to the tragedy of world war I was not repeated.
