Russian President Vladimir Putin wished Alexander Drozdenko success on elections of the Governor of Leningrad region.
As the channel “Russia 24”, the head of state said during a working meeting by video conference with the head of the region.
Drozdenko announced that in September 2020, ends his term in the current post and asked Putin “agreed candidate” for the forthcoming elections of the Governor.
In response, the President noted that his interlocutor has the moral right to claim a new period of work at the head of Leningrad region – region compared with other regions shows the population growth and the decline in the number of unemployed.
“I wish you success”, — concluded the head of the country, stressing that last word remains for voters.
Drozdenko was vested with the authority of Governor of the Leningrad region legislative Assembly of the region in may 2012, in September 2015, the election he won with a score of 82.1% of the vote.
