The upcoming Guns N’ Roses concert in Munich is apparently supposed to take place. Fans had feared that the performance would be cancelled.
After a Guns N’ Roses concert in Glasgow was recently canceled, fans had feared that the rockers might not be able to perform in Munich on July 8th. Frontman Axl Rose (60) now seems to give the all-clear. “See you in Munich,” writes the singer, at least on Twitter.
The band had recently had to cancel a performance in Scotland planned for July 5th. “Unfortunately, due to illness and medical advice, GN’R will not be able to […] perform in Glasgow,” the group’s Instagram account said. Many assumed that Rose might have been ill. The singer also shared a health update with his fans.
Axl Rose apparently had voice problems
The 60-year-old writes that he wants to thank everyone for the recovery wishes. Rose was apparently struggling with voice problems. He followed the doctors’ instructions, rested in the past few days and also worked with a singing coach. He also took care of “solving our sound problems”: “Everything seems fine so far.” At the end of the day, it’s all about giving the fans the best show possible. He, the other band members and the crew are focused on that.
Rose also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the Glasgow gig. The band had previously announced that they would be looking for an alternative date. Guns N’ Roses will be in Milan on July 10th, Vienna on July 13th and Hanover on July 15th. Concerts in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are planned for the autumn.
