Team QJMOTOR GRESINI Moto2 had a successful day at the TT Circuit Assen as both Manuel Gonzalez and Albert Arenas secured a spot on the second row of the grid for the eighth Moto2 race of the season. Gonzalez was able to quickly find his pace in Practice2 after some setup adjustments, allowing him to qualify directly for Q2 where he finished fourth with a time of 1’35.640secs.

On the other hand, Arenas had to go through Q1 after finishing Practice2 in fifteenth place. However, he showed great form by topping the session and eventually qualifying in sixth place with a 0.555secs gap from pole position.

Both riders will start from the second row tomorrow and are ready to compete for podium positions in the upcoming race at 12:15 GMT +2.

Manuel Gonzalez expressed his satisfaction with the progress made on Saturday, mentioning that the bike was working much better and he was able to push harder with quicker lap times. He acknowledged the need to work on corner exit due to the higher temperatures but is confident in the team’s abilities to make the necessary adjustments before the race.

Albert Arenas focused on improving the feeling with the front-end of the bike and mentioned that there are already ideas in place to work on the rear-end feeling. He highlighted the positive outcome of Q1 and Q2 and emphasized the importance of being competitive throughout the entire race.
