Next chapter in the mud fight between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard: Kate Moss relieves her ex-boyfriend: Depp “never pushed, kicked or threw her down a flight of stairs”.
Kate Moss has defended her ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp against allegations of violence in the trial of his former wife Amber Heard.
“He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down a flight of stairs,” the supermodel said at the trial in Fairfax County Court, Virginia. The 48-year-old British woman was connected via video from England, and her testimony lasted only a few minutes.
Moss’ statement is taken as a point for Depp because it contradicts an earlier comment by Heard. In early May, Heard (36) referred to an alleged incident in which Depp attacked model Moss on a staircase in her description of a violent argument in her relationship with Depp.
Process is in the final phase
The civil process between the ex-husbands Depp (58) and Heard, which has been running for six weeks, is in the final phase. Closing arguments are expected on Friday, after which the case will go to the jury.
In his civil lawsuit, Depp alleges that his ex-wife made false statements in a 2018 op-ed by the Washington Post about domestic violence. This damaged his reputation. Depp is suing for around 50 million dollars (a good 46 million euros) in damages for defamation, Heard has filed a counterclaim for 100 million dollars.
Heard had repeatedly accused her former husband of violent behavior on the witness stand. In his own four-day statement, the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star denied under oath that he ever hit Heard. Depp and Heard met while filming The Rum Diary in 2009. The two married in 2015, but after 15 months of marriage, the actress filed for divorce.
