US actor Jamie Foxx (“Django Unchained”) has expressed his horror at the fatal shooting in Buffalo.
“So many emotions are flowing through me right now… sadness… injury… and incredible anger!” the 54-year-old wrote on Instagram on Monday. “I can’t understand why the color of our skin makes people so angry… Who would have thought that being black was such an agonizing journey?. And I wonder how many times you have to say that,” Foxx wrote. The Hollywood star shared an excerpt from a report on the attack, which also includes photos of three victims.
A gunman opened fire at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday, killing at least ten people. Three others were injured. The 18-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene of the crime, the investigators assume a racist motive – 11 of the 13 victims were black. The crime caused widespread outrage across the country.
US President Joe Biden wanted to visit Buffalo on Tuesday. The White House said he wanted to mourn there with his wife Jill and the community.
