In 2019, Russia increased its oil exports to non-CIS countries 3.7% to 248,51 million tonnes, reported “Interfax”, citing data from CDU TEK at the Ministry of energy. They take into account not only domestic companies produced raw materials, but also delivered through Russia transiton from other countries, primarily Kazakhstan.
export Growth was due to the sea ports. Deliveries to foreign countries through them in 2019 rose 11% to 138 million tonnes.
And the delivery of export oil pipelines of “Transneft”, on the contrary, fell by 5.6% to 83.9 million tons Exports to Europe, as follows from the data CDU TEK, fell 13% from 50.5 million tonnes to 43.9 per million tons, and in China, by contrast, grew by 4.4% up to 40 million tonnes.
most reduced oil supplies by pipeline to Germany (22.2%) and Poland (12.5%). These countries are the largest buyers of oil exported through the Druzhba pipeline. It was built already in the 1960s, to supply oil to the countries of Eastern Europe.

In April 2019 oil in “Friendship” was contaminated with organochlorine compounds. As a result, the oil transit to Europe through this pipeline was suspended. The deliveries were resumed only in June.
Transneft and oil companies managed to redirect export flows thus, to avoid falling exports due to the situation of “Friendship,” says senior Director of Fitch corporations Dmitry marinchenko: “In connection with the normalization of “Friendship” export through the ports, probably in 2020 will be reduced, and through the tube will increase.” This year oil production in Russia may be slightly reduced due to the OPEC deal, especially if it will be extended to the end of the year. Exports may fall by 2-3%. Last year, mining in Russia rose 0.8% to 560,2 million tonnes.
the International energy Agency warned that oil pollution in “Friendship” Russia could lose the confidence of buyers, who will be looking for alternative oil suppliers. European refineries will continue to diversify the supply of raw materials, but it is not just energy security, but a question of flexibility, marinchenko says: “the Opportunity to buy oil of different grades implies a more intense competition and margin of oil refining”.
