ITVX, the popular streaming service, has broken its own records in the month of June by delivering a staggering 375.8 million streams. This achievement is being credited to the high viewership of ITV’s Euro 2024 coverage, the new season of Love Island, and a lineup of exciting new dramas.

One of the highlights of the month was on Sunday, June 30th, which marked ITV’s biggest day in streaming history. The thrilling football match between England and Slovakia, Spain’s victory against Georgia, and the ever-popular Love Island contributed to a total of over 30 million streams on that day alone.

Craig Morris, the Managing Editor of ITVX, expressed his delight at the growing viewership, stating that more people are tuning in not just for sports or reality TV, but also staying to enjoy the vast collection of films and TV shows available on the platform.

The Euro 2024 matches aired on ITV in June were streamed close to 84 million times, while the current season of Love Island has amassed an impressive 76 million streams after just 28 episodes. This marks a significant increase from the previous year at the same point in the series.

In addition to sports and reality TV, new dramas on ITVX have been attracting a strong audience. Series such as The Flash, a DC superhero show, the darkly comedic crime thriller Bay of Fires, and the highly anticipated UK premiere of Orphan Black: Echoes starring Krysten Ritter and Keeley Hawes have been drawing in viewers. Commissioned dramas like Red Eye and Douglas Is Cancelled have also been top performers during this period.

Overall, ITVX’s success in June can be attributed to a combination of exciting content, including sports, reality TV, and engaging dramas. As the platform continues to offer a diverse range of shows and films, it is expected to attract even more viewers in the coming months.
